Synthesis - Version 0.1 Update
Synthesis » Devlog
Feature additions:
- Added a "Set Volume" prompt when first booting up the game, this does not show up on subsequent boot-ups.
- Added fully functional Main Menu with volume options.
- Holding C now allows you to merge back with your slimes.
- Eating now slows your movement, encouraging you to take cover before doing so.
Tweaks and fixes:
- The Intro Animatic now transitions to the Main Menu automatically.
- Left Clicking no longer skips the Intro Animatic -- Instead ESC, Spacebar, or Return.
- Fixed Intro Animatic not playing any music.
- With the addition of the Main Menu, there is now a proper way to quit to desktop.
- Game no longer starts with the camera fully zoomed in, or with Mouse Sensitivity/Volume options defaulted to 0.
- Losing all of your health as the only slime no longer soft locks the game -- A "Game Over" was supposed to pop up and send you back to menu, this is now working again.
- Shadows are no longer missing.
- Fixed ejecting trash sometimes not working.
- Fixed spreading not working when getting too big.
- Adjusted size threshold for being able to climb, it is now much more lenient.
- Robots now attack.
Issues to be aware of:
- Slime-splitting and swapping can cause trash to go completely wack.
- Ejecting shipping containers can launch them into the stratosphere.
Planned changes and additions:
- Revise slime minion commands to be more intuitive, and allow them to attack.
- Properly incorporate trash into the level, rather than just being scattered everywhere.
- Ability to eat/eject robots.
- Top half of robots explode after defeat, can be grabbed and ejected like a grenade if quick.
- Robots respawning.
- More SFX & VFX.
- The Factory & Powerplant.
- And more.
